Your mission

Proactive Support & Documentation
  • 1st Level Support: Assist our team in resolving software and hardware issues, ensuring we meet our SLA targets while providing a great user experience.
  • Knowledge Base Growth: You will be responsible for resolution & fix documentation. Every time you solve a unique problem, you’ll document the "Standard Operating Procedure" (SOP) to help the team stay efficient.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Instead of just fixing a recurring error, you’ll help identify the root cause to prevent it from happening again.
2. System & Security Operations
  • Patch & Device Management: Support the rollout of security patches and updates across our Windows/iOS fleet. Assist in the setup and lifecycle management of end-user devices via MDM tools.
  • Deployment & Change: Gain hands-on experience in release and change deployment. You will assist in rolling out new software versions and hardware refreshes.
  • IT Security Response: Assist the security team in monitoring alerts and performing initial remediation steps to keep our Dortmund site and remote users safe.
3. Availability & Travel
  • Light Travel: Occasional travel to a nearby satellite location (within Dortmund) to install Hardware.

Your profile

  • Current Student: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in IT, Informatics, Business Information Systems, or a similar technical field.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Windows 10/11, iOS, and basic networking (DHCP, DNS, WiFi).
  • The "Proactive" Gene: You don’t wait for instructions; you see a manual task and wonder how to automate or document it.
  • Communication: Fluent in German; Advanced English skills are a strong plus to work with our IT Department.
  • Continuing Education: A genuine hunger to learn. You treat every ticket as a mini-course in systems engineering.
